Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Anthem for clients in both New York and New Jersey. Additional plans are being added regularly through Headway.

What are your therapy session fees?

Individual sessions are $200 and run around 50 minutes (typically 45–55 minutes). Payment is due at the time of session.

Do you provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement?

Yes, a superbill can be provided upon request if you have out-of-network benefits. A superbill is a detailed receipt you submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many plans reimburse 50–80% of the allowed amount after your deductible is met.

Do you offer self-pay?

Yes. Self-pay sessions are $200 out of pocket. No insurance paperwork needed. Pay at the time of session with a credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance. The 48-hour notice period excludes weekends and holidays. Missed or late-cancelled appointments are charged the full session fee.

Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum. As things progress, we may shift to biweekly. The frequency depends on your needs and what works best.

Can you prescribe medication?

No. I provide psychotherapy but cannot prescribe medication. If medication might be helpful, I can refer you to a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.

What is an immigration psychological evaluation?

An immigration psychological evaluation is a clinical assessment conducted by a licensed mental health professional. The evaluator interviews the applicant, reviews relevant history, and produces a written report documenting psychological harm, trauma, hardship, or the emotional impact of separation. The report is submitted as part of an immigration case.

What types of cases do you evaluate?

Evaluations are available for I-601 and I-601A hardship waivers, VAWA, U visa, T visa, asylum, cancellation of removal, and other immigration cases involving emotional hardship or trauma. If you are unsure whether your case qualifies, a free consultation is available.

How long does the evaluation take and when is the report ready?

The clinical interview typically runs about two hours. The standard report turnaround is 5 business days once all required information is received. A 48-hour rush option is available for an additional $500.

What languages are available for immigration evaluations?

English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese are available directly. All other languages are available through a professional interpreter team at no additional cost.

Can you coordinate directly with my immigration attorney?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Attorney coordination is available for scheduling, documentation needs, and report delivery. Attorneys may also refer clients directly.

Does an evaluation guarantee my case will be approved?

Accepted Answer

No. Immigration outcomes are not guaranteed. A psychological evaluation can strengthen a case by documenting relevant clinical factors, but the final decision rests with the adjudicating officer or immigration judge.

Where are you licensed and where can we work together?

I am licensed in New York (LMHC-D), New Jersey (LPC), and Texas (LPC). Telehealth therapy sessions are available for clients physically located in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Colorado, Florida, South Carolina, Arizona, Vermont, and Idaho.

Do I need to be in New York or New Jersey to work with you?

For therapy, you need to be physically located in one of the states where I am licensed or authorized: NY, NJ, TX, WA, CO, FL, SC, AZ, VT, or ID. For immigration psychological evaluations, availability may extend beyond those states — contact me to confirm.

Research consistently shows online therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person therapy for the concerns I work with — anxiety, burnout, relationship patterns, postpartum, and life transitions. Many clients find online therapy easier to maintain because there is no commute, no parking, and no rearranging your schedule around an office location.
