About

    Meet Your Therapist

I'm Wei-Yuan Chen (Cheryl), a dually licensed therapist — LMHC in New York and LPC in New Jersey. I provide online therapy for adults and teens across both states in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.

I help people who look like they have it together but feel stuck inside — whether it's anxiety that won't quiet down, relationship patterns that keep repeating, the overwhelm of new parenthood, or nights spent staring at the ceiling unable to sleep.

    My Approach to Therapy

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you understand the patterns driving your distress — and build practical tools to shift them. For sleep concerns, I incorporate CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), the gold-standard treatment for chronic insomnia, as part of my ongoing advanced training from the University of Pennsylvania.

Therapy with me is collaborative, structured, and warm. You won't just talk — you'll leave each session with something concrete to work on. My goal is to help you feel less stuck and more like yourself, whether you're dealing with anxiety, relationship challenges, postpartum stress, or burnout.

As a trilingual therapist fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, I also bring deep cultural understanding to my work — especially for Asian-American clients navigating the pressures of living between cultures.

    Same Quality, More Convenience

Research consistently shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for the concerns I treat.
